87.7 The Spot General Contest Rules
Contests are open to all listeners who are 18 years of age or older. Must be present to win at final drawing of winner’s name. Employees of WOLF Radio Inc., affiliated advertising agencies, and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
Contestants can only win once every thirty (30) days for general daily giveaways, one winner per household. Contests other than general daily giveaways do not count toward the above thirty (30) day restriction. Therefore, contestants will have the opportunity to win only once during each larger contest.
All cash prizes will be available for pickup two (2) weeks from the date won. All movie pass winners must pick up prizes within fourteen (14) days. No substitution of prize is allowed.
All winners must sign a participant release and provide valid photo identification to claim their prize. All prizes must be picked up at the office located at 401 W. Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204, unless otherwise noted.
Any prize not claimed is automatically forfeited after thirty (30) days. If a prize is mailed to the winner, 87.7 The Spot is not responsible for the safe delivery of the prize; the winner assumes all risk. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted or redeemed for cash.
If a winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the prize is awarded, an alternate winner may be selected. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
The winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. If the value of a prize exceeds $599.99, the winner will receive a 1099-MISC form.
By participating in the contest, winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to the contest without additional financial or other compensation.
Management reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equal or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement. If the contest is not capable of completion as planned due to computer viruses, bugs, technical failures, tampering, or other causes beyond management’s control, management reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the contest.
Management reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website, or otherwise violating the rules. Failure to comply with contest rules may result in disqualification.
87.7 The Spot is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize. This includes streaming on our website and mobile app. We are not responsible for digital delays during contesting.

TEXT MESSAGE SWEEPSTAKES AND CONTESTS
To enter text message sweepstakes and contests, listeners will be asked to use a text messaging-enabled wireless device to text a specified keyword to a designated five-digit number.
After submitting a text entry, participants will receive a confirmation text validating one (1) entry into the contest or sweepstakes. Standard text messaging and data rates may apply. Charges for text messages sent or received are determined by the participant’s wireless carrier and service plan.
Each wireless carrier’s rate plan may vary. Participants should contact their wireless carrier regarding text messaging charges. Any text message entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the mobile phone number used to enter.
Deadlines for entering will typically be stated on the station website or announced by on-air talent and may periodically be included in on-air promotions.
CALL-IN TO WIN CONTESTS
For call-in contests, a sounder or cue-to-call announcement will air randomly at various times along with instructions for listeners to call the station for a chance to win.
Listen to 87.7 The Spot during the times stated on the website or announced on-air for the cue to call and be the designated numbered caller to the contest line (315-472-0222 unless otherwise specified).
The correct caller will either automatically win the announced prize or be required to complete a task, such as correctly answering a trivia question, as determined and announced by 87.7 The Spot.
Prizes for Call-In to Win or Cue-to-Call contests will vary and be announced prior to each contest. Some cue-to-call opportunities may also serve as qualifying events for grand prize drawings.
Winner must be the designated caller to the announced phone number. If the designated caller is determined to be ineligible, the station may select the next eligible caller.
Contest participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts to participate. Listeners accessing the station via internet stream may experience delays depending on device performance and internet connection speed. We strongly recommend listening to 87.7 The Spot via FM radio when participating in call-in contests.
The station assumes no responsibility for contestants who fail to make timely calls due to delays in internet streaming.
WARNING REGARDING INTERNET STREAM DELAY
Due to the nature of internet broadcasting, contests heard through the station’s online audio stream may be delayed from the live broadcast signal by several seconds or minutes. As a result, listeners participating via the internet stream may be at a disadvantage compared to listeners tuning in through traditional FM radio.
When a cue to call or text is announced on-air, online listeners may receive that announcement later than FM listeners. Therefore, all contests heard via the internet stream are subject to delay, and 87.7 The Spot is not responsible for any disadvantages caused by such delays.
